A miquelet lock pistol
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Naples, Smoothbore, two-stage, 17 mm cal barrel, octagonal and round with rings at the girdle. The tang marked 'P'. Flintlock with working mechanism. Full wooden stock (cracks) with checkered butt and carved leaves. Pittings on the iron parts. Smooth brass mounts, counter-plate with small badge (re-attached). Iron ramrod. length 29 cm.
