A flintlock pistol signed Wheeler
dating: Early 19th Century provenance: England, Smoothbore, octagonal 15 mm cal barrel, with front sight and remains of the mark 'LONDON'. Golden vent. Breech with tang and fixed rear sight. Locks with remains of 'Wheeler' signature, plate with outlines and small engraving, hammer with engraved handle. Watertight pan with anti-friction spring on the batterie. Working mechanism. Wooden full stock (with repairs probably made in ancient times) Checkered handle. Iron mounts. Trigger with adjustment screw. Pitting. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. length 39 cm.
