A travel flintlock pistol signed G. Zucolo
dating: early 18th Century provenance: Brescia, Round, smoothbore, 12 mm cal barrel with rear rib. Lock with working mechanism. Plate with small inlays gilded with racemes, the lower edge marked 'G. ZUCOLO'. Wooden full stock (cracks and small missing parts). Brass mounts with remains of gilding. Trigger guard, counter-plate and butt-plate with silver-inlaid chests. The trigger guard with rear tang missing. Engraved escutcheon at the back. Copper-tipped, wooden ramrod.
