A flintlock pistol
dating: late 17th Century provenance: Northern Europe, Smoothbore, two-stage, octagonal and round, 13 mm cal barrel with a short faceted segment and a ring at the girdle. Pitting. Lock with working mechanism, slightly-rounded plate decorated with grotesques and masks, featuring remains of the writing 'MASTRECT' (not perfectly legible) at the center. Wooden stock with missing parts and readjustments. Iron-tipped, wooden ramrod, antique. Brass mounts. The butt-plate decorated with openwork and with round decorations depicting portraits of ladies in relief. length 47,5 cm.
