An archaic snaphance pistol

dating: second quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Northern Italy, Smoothbore, three-stage barrel: octagonal, faceted and round, with rings at the second girdle. 13.5 mm cal. at the nozzle. Archaic flintlock with hammer featuring straight throw and external click. The plate with remains of floral engravings and the 'AC' mark at the center. Some parts of the locks with carvings and small engravings. Smooth, wooden full stock (a restoration on the left side of the counter-plate and other small restorations). Iron mounts. Smooth butt-plate. Simple, metal-tipped, wooden ramrod. Trigger guard engraved and with the initials 'B C' on the rear tang. length 47,5 cm.
