A rare S&W Model 3 Russian First Model revolver (Old Old Model Russian)
dating: 1871 - 1874 provenance: Russian Empire, Round, rifled, S&W Russian 44 cal. barrel provided with high rib, marked with the address of the Smith & Wesson in Cyrillic and with remains of marks. Grooved, six-shot cylinder. Some pitting. Mechanism needs revision , unsteady cylinder with loaded hammer. Serial number '13xx' on the grip and opening lever. Grip with smooth, wooden grip scales, ring for the strap. Small restoration at the frame and at the firing pin. length 35.5 cm.
