CHINE XVIIIe SIÈCLE, PÉRIODE KANGXI (1661 - 1722)

Bisque and sancai enamel group, representing a young dignitary seated in royal relaxation on a throne, the garment decorated with a dragon in relief, a turtle at his feet. H. 25.5 cm (Some minor enamel damage, cracks in the lower part) PROVENANCE Private Parisian collection of Mr. L. constituted on three generations since the end of the 19th century. Invoice dated April 24, 1924 from Pierre SAQUÉ in Paris. Thirteenth line mentioning the "reserved head" of the character.
