Attributed to Hendrick Van Somer (1607- 1656?), Moses, Oil on canvas, ca 1638, ca 103 x 76 cm. Flemish painter, also called Enrico Fiammingo, he carried out his activity mainly in Naples. Together with Giovanni Ricca, he became exponent of that ''school of Ribera'' inspired by the great Spanish master. In fact, this painting refers to the well-known Moses by Jusepe de Ribera (1637, Naples, Certosa di San Martino).
