Note
This study is one of the preparatory works for the final work entitled "Bathers," oil on canvas, sold at Sotheby's London on February 16, 2017 for GPB 368,750. The foreshortened central figure features New York City Ballet dancer Nicolas Magallanes, and on the right is Charles-Henri Ford, recognizable by his hat, an American poet and famous partner of Tchelitchew.
