Jean Mulders is a Belgian artist born in Averbode in 1913. He was a painter and pastellist. He was inspired by the landscapes and people of his own country, Spain, Morocco, but especially Zaire and black Africa. He exhibited at the Petite Galerie in Brussels in 1961, at the Lucidel Gallery in Mons in 1962, at the Galerie La Meuse in Namur in 1963, at the Arts en Europe in Brussels in 1972 and 1973.
