DRC/Western DRC. Mask "Fumu" of Chief with 4 headdresses and ochre background in carved wood. 1st half of the 20th century. H 48 X 35 cm including base. This powerful mask closes the mask dances of the Pende. It combines masculine and feminine characteristics that are part of the balance that a chief must acquire.
