H. 76,5 cm, Diam. 67 cm This pedestal table in patinated and gilded bronze, the belt decorated with a frieze of vine leaves, the baluster shaft decorated with acanthus leaves and flowering stems, the feet in lion paws is similar to a famous model Empire by Thomire, a "large pedestal table in chased and gilded bronze. The belt is decorated with a succession of stars. The feet end in claws" of which a copy, entirely in gilded bronze, is currently kept in a private home (fig. 1). On this one, the ormolu plant ornaments stand out on the patinated background. A tray in marquetry of polychrome marbles with a rose decoration, centered on an octagon and circumscribed by a ribboned frieze, enriches the remarkable work of casting and chasing.
