PAIR OF HORSES ADORED WITH VASES Early work, Louis XVI style Gilt bronze H. 39 cm, W. 40 cm, D. 57 cm Provenance Collection Mme P. This pair of andirons presents a decoration of vases decorated with garlands of flowers and handles with satyr heads. The vases are mounted on a podium with filleted flutes and linked to another smaller podium by a crosspiece with flowers. At the other end, a pine cone stands. The electrolytic gilding shows an old work, in the taste of the eighteenth century.
