Hortensius Lando (Milan, ca. 1512-ca. 1553) gives a description of the most important Italian families and their most famous members. It is followed by the "Catalogo delli inventori delle cose chesi mangiano, et delle bevande che hoggidi si usano" which gives the names of the most famous cooks, their dishes and quotes famous gastronomes. The author makes believe, in the title, that this anonymous work is translated from Armenian. Angular staining, booklet F foxed. On the tite, signature crossed out, and mention of the author's name.
