Remarkable vinaigrette bracelet probably of Austro-Hungarian origin from the late 18th - early 19th century in 18k yellow gold (750 thousandths). Worn as an almost invisible bracelet, the cotton soaked in vinegar is located in the charm to comfort a lady of quality following an illness. One of the sides opens to allow breathing of the saving vapors. This bracelet has two sides, one in smooth yellow gold without decoration and the other side is decorated with white and royal blue enamel. The charm containing the cotton is held by a pink sapphire and decorated with a line of diamonds, some of which are Mazarin cut. Precision work of jewellery. Slightly missing enamel. Length : 22 cm. Gross weight : 47 g.
