A group of four hand-tinted manuscript pages with nasta'liq script, comprising: an open-air scene of a seated nobleman on a divan attended by a sitar-playing female, kneeling at his feet, a female dancer, a female with a goblet and another with a fan; a nocturnal scene with a kneeling nobleman sharing drink with a female companion while a sitar-player entertains them; an open-air scene with a nobleman kneeling before a building confronted by two kneeling females, one with a sitar; a nocturnal scene of a nobleman within a courtyard reclining, his head supported by a female attendant while two others address him; each mounted in a sympathetic reveal within a glazed wooden frame. 3 kg total, 34 x 27.5 cm each (13 3/8 x 10 7/8 in.)
