Famous guinguette, the Nouvelle Aventure was built in the old Faubourg Notre-Dame (Wazemmes district) in the 18th century. This vast building had a first floor, a first floor and attics; on the roof, in a small campanile, a clock was topped by characters from the Italian comedy (Harlequin, Colombine and Pierrot).
