Roland Topor (1938-1997) was a French artist and writer. He studied at the "École nationale des beaux-arts" in Paris. From 1958 he published drawings in the magazines Bizarre, Arts and the humorous Le rire. Topor was a very versatile artist, he drew for exhibitions and portfolios, illustrated books, created film posters (including for "The Tin Drum" by Volker Schlöndorff and "Nosferatu" by Werner Herzog) and wrote prose and plays. His novel "The Tenant" was filmed by Roman Polanski in 1976. - In very good condition. - Provenance: From the estate of Johannes Grützke.
