Max Brüning (1887-1968) had moved to Berlin in 1923, where his studio quickly became a widely known meeting place for illustrious personalities from film, art, sports and politics. Brüning, who among other things worked for magazines, designed posters and also etchings and pastels, became known especially for his erotic and enigmatic portraits of women and girls. - Upper left corner with small paper tear, left margin irregularly trimmed, otherwise good condition.
