First edition, rare. - Wilson, History of Mineral Collecting 213 - Cobres I, 121. - Describes the mineral collection of the physician and chemist Friedrich Hoffmann (1660-1742). This was acquired in 1777 by Johann F. G. Goldhagen (1742-1788) and integrated into his already extensive collection. In 1787, this collection then went to the University of Halle, where parts are still in the inventory today. - Partly browned. - Good copy.
