Opera - - Schaefer, Paul. Collection of 25 letters, cards and telegrams to the opera singer Eva von der Osten. 1922-1932. various formats. The majority of the letters were sent to the soprano on the occasion of her stage farewell. Senders include colleagues Frida Trodler-Striegler, Marie Wittich, Clementine von Schuch, Erich Wilhelm Engel, the wife of Heinrich Gudehus and Rudolf Steiner, telegrams were sent by the critic Hans Schnoor as well as Maedi and Robert Burg, and Freifrau Felicitas von Hanstei even wrote a farewell poem. A few letters are not dated or dated later, such as a letter from Otto Bernstein dated 17.11.28. - Included: I. Certificate of honorary membership of the Saxon State Theaters as well as the menu card for the stage farewell at the Belvedere. - II. artist photographs of Anna von Mildenburg (two, one with her own handwritten signature), a role photo of her husband Friedrich Plaschke as Wolfram Eschenbach and of Elisabeth Rethberg (with dedication and handwritten signature) as well as two further portraits and a private group photo of "President Roosvelt New York". - Included: Two handwritten letters from Curt Taucher to Friedrich Plaschke.
