Good writing paper without identifiable watermark. 20.5 x 15 cm. Flexible vellum binding of the period with 3 (of 4) closing bands (stained and bent up, reference flaw on front cover).
The scribe identifies himself on the title as "Suitensi", thus originating from Schwyz. A priest of this name and origin received ordination in Chur in 1638 and became early sacristan in Gams in 1639 (Freiburger Diözesan-Archiv 131, 2011, pp. 105, 110, 114). The lecturer is traceable in the Jesuit controversial writing in 1636 as a teacher at the College of Milan. The manuscript was finished "bachanalium tempora undecimo die februarii" (during the carnival on February 11). - Moisture stain in white head margin at beginning, otherwise clean.
