Elaine Lustig Cohen (1927-2016) is considered an influential American book designer of the 50s/60s and later worked as a freelance media artist. Both letters are addressed to antiquarian, artist, and author Sibylle Kaldewey. Lustig Cohen summarizes her experiences in the spring of 1995 and thanks her "for all the little bits of collage material." The smaller letter is a concise travelogue from Italy and Spain. - Enclosed: Five picture postcards from Lustig-Cohen to Kaldewey, partly New Year's greetings. Vienna, Palma, and no location, circa 1998, one card designed by her, signed and unmarked in print, the others artistically decorated with collage papers, stamps, and lettering by hand (3) or by machine (1). - New Year's letter 2012.
