Mais tant pis." He sends greetings to his publisher friends in Munich and adds "(Matthes)". The card from Jerusalem shows little Torah students, Cohen writes "not the best of times to be here - we're inundated with politics and the nation is quite divided, but the land is beautiful and I adore Hebrew." - The card from New York with a crease. - Enclosed: A. A. Cohen. The American Imagination after the war. Notes on the Novel, Jews, and Hope. Syracuse University, 1981. 4 pp, 36 pp, 1 p. Original wraps. - Front title with Cohen's own pencil dedication "for Sibylle a literary contribution from New York to Düsseldorf," Jan. 12, 1981.
