Description

Sebastien Colorz. Original work realized with areosol spray, exclusively in favor of the operation "One tent one life". Signed. 235 x 77 cm Sebastien Marc (1972), alias COLORZ, has earned his credentials in the French urban art scene over more than twenty-five years of assiduous practice on the walls, trains and fences of Paris, its suburbs, then the north and south of France and as far as Amsterdam, Athens, New York, Hong Kong and Jakarta. Considered as a reference of the French street art, COLORZ made evolve his art on several supports, canvas, wood, aluminium, plexiglass. His style, both explosive and mastered, finds its influences in the energy of the street that he translates into abstraction of colors drawing unexpected urban landscapes without his knowledge. At first simple graffiti, his visual vocabulary evolves into elaborate compositions where the color and the treatment of the wall become more complex. COLORZ's style, unique and recognizable by its energy and vibrancy, has become a reference in the urban art world. Since 2008, the artist has devoted himself exclusively to his art. Without abandoning the action in the street, he developed his painting on other supports (canvas, wood, aluminum, plexiglass) and enriches his visual codes. Today Colorz has become a sought-after artist for the remarkable quality of his paintings on canvas where we note the influences of great artists of abstract expressionism like Jackson Pollock and neo-expressionism like Gerhard Richter. The ORIG-AMI is a cardboard shelter measuring 117 x 235 x 150 cm. It is insulating, protective in structure, foldable like an accordion, transportable like a backpack and recyclable. The homeless shelter was designed on the principle of origami, a Japanese technique of paper folding.
