RENAULT R8 GORDINI 1300. 1969. Type : R1135. Chassis number : 0206937. Motorization: 812-00 engine with 4 cylinders in line, 1 255 cm3 (Ø cyl. 74,5 x 72) or 1 296 cm3 (Ø cyl. 75,7 x 72). Between 110 and 120 horsepower. Gearbox: Manual, 5 gears plus reverse, type 353. Rear wheel drive. Mileage: 86 898 km on the odometer. Registration: French, 7 HP. Technical inspection: Without. Condition : Not running, vehicle being rebuilt, base in perfect condition. Price : 30 000 €. The R8 GORDINI 1300 left the factory in 1967, 9,580 units were produced, but production stopped in June 1970. It is equipped with two double-barrel carburetors, four disc brakes, a second 26-liter fuel tank located in the front trunk with bypass valve in front of the driver's seat. It is the first affordable compact sports car with sporty performance for a production car price. It offers explosive acceleration for its time, reaching 175 km/h, allowing Renault to respond to the confidential Simca Abarth 1150 Tipo Corsa. The R8G Cup from 1966 will reveal a whole series of French drivers. The example we present is a faithful reconstruction from new original parts, however it still requires some work to start up, especially in terms of fluids and electricity.
