Original frame included: 80 X 70 cm Alferio Maugeri, French painter born in San Antonio (Sicily) in 1933, was entrusted, when he was very young, the restoration of churches in the footsteps of Michelangelo and the Masters of the Renaissance. During this period he developed his art of trompe l'oeil, faux marble, gilding with leaves, and the enhancement of religious frescoes. By a perfect mastery of techniques he realizes himself his pigmentation. Alferio Maugeri is a member of the Arts, Sciences and Letters of Paris, and his work is recognized throughout the world. His paintings have been exhibited in Milan, New York, Geneva, Osaka, Tokyo, and exerted magnetism and fascination. His personal style, by the lightness of his touch erases the useless and the aggressive and makes us penetrate in a universe of harmony, light and colors. Some of his works are in renowned private collections and a "first day" envelope is illustrated by one of his paintings.
