Two Ishan architectural elements Nigeria Wood H. 122 and 124,5 cm Rare panels or pillars carved with scenes in relief from an ishan shrine. On one of them appears the bust of a character holding above his head an imposing ceremonial sword. The latter is framed by different shapes evoking cultic instruments. On the other panel is a standing figure surmounting a saber point. The edges of both panels are decorated with a sawtooth frieze. See Wittmer M.
