Pair of antique receptions around 1900, unsigned, alabaster, one reception of Moses executed by Michelangelo Buonarotti and assistants for the funeral monument for Pope Julius II, the tomb is located in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome, the original work was executed from 1505-1545, the other sculpture probably represents Heracles or a ruler who wanted to boast about the strength of the god, the sitter wears magnificent robes and a lion's head as headgear, the figures are loosely attached to the pedestals, the Heracles with hairline cracks and loss of substance, h 41 and 42 cm respectively, h total 60 cm each.
