Description

Carved oak sideboard composed of inlays of light wood and stained wood drawing a plant decoration on the front and on its sides. The recessed upper part is surmounted by a rectangular cornice decorated with a central coat of arms alternating light and black wood marquetry, it is punctuated by a tripartite decoration of panels inlaid with naturalist and plant motifs and opens in its center with a door with a carved and curved decoration and is decorated with a wooden panel inlaid with a flowering vase. At the ends two elements in the form of bulbous drop richly carved foliage in the tradition of Elizabethan style. The lower part is richly carved with friezes of interlaced foliage and arches, and is adorned with two panels inlaid with light and stained wood that repeat the motifs of the upper register. In the center, a door whose front is molded and carved with a fleuron motif in a cartouche. The credenza rests on baluster feet joined by a spacer plate. Period lock.
