Meeting of 2 fine proofs on thin laid paper, the 1st trimmed inside the plate cut but complete with tablet, lined on strong laid paper (recognizable by the "Cum" detached from the rest of the text and the word "repraefentandi" instead of "repraesentandi", dated 1597), the 2nd similarly trimmed, very fresh (recognizable by the RG monogram and the modified text, "Cesar capranica excudit", dated 1599). Dusting, wear and weaknesses at the edges of the folio at the 1st. Stamp of Émile Lachenaud (Lugt 3473) on the 2nd.
