Menorcan seating made up of two armchairs and ten chairs. They all have the same structure, with stipe front legs and decorative grooves. The backs are finely carved, with a slight undulation in the form of a crest and a vertical structure of parallel shafts with a subtle opening at the top, a design clearly inspired by the works of George Hepplewhite (1727-1786), whose furniture dominated the English market in the last quarter of the 18th century. George Hepplewhithe (1727 - 1786) was an important maker of chairs and cabinets, one of the 'big three' of 18th-century English cabinetmaking, along with Thomas Sheraton and Thomas Chippendale. Hepplewhite gave his name to a whole style, light and elegant, which was fashionable from the last quarter of the 18th century into the 19th century and is still valued today.
