Pair of Bergère armchairs, Louis XV style; France, mid-20th century. Carved walnut and upholstery. Measurements: 88 x 71 x 70 cm (x2). Pair of bergère armchairs, Louis XV style, with delicately carved wooden structure. Both armchairs are supported on four cabriole legs, moulded with carved decorative elements, located both in the lower and in the upper part of each one of the legs. This decoration is continued at the waist of the piece of furniture, which is delicately decorated with floral motifs. The armrests, also moulded, are recessed. The backrest, in a mixtilinear format, is decorated with vegetal elements, the ornamentation of which is more detailed on the crest. The two armchairs have the same upholstery, the design of which is composed of a large central stripe structured by lines of different shades of pink.
