[MANUSCRIT - BRETAGNE (Parlement de) - Secret registers of the Parlement de Bretagne - 1555-1596. Manuscript from the second half of the 16th century in 1 small volume In-folio - [I], 281 leaves - 1 mention added in the 19th century on the introductory page (including a chronological table of the sessions) indicates that this register, despite some reversals of sessions, is complete from the session of August 2, 1555 to that of January 31, 1596. The volume thus begins with the session of August 2, 1558 and those of the year 1555 are found on leaves 43 & sq. Extracts from the registers of the Parliament of Rennes for the years 1555 to 1596 containing rulings on questions of public order, judicial organization, privileges of the Court and many other questions concerning the history of the province - Bound in soft ivory vellum with laces (attached) - Smooth spine titled in ink (minor wear), modern case - Attached are : 1 typed list of 1 part of the texts contained in the volume and 1 small handwritten note from Frederic Saulnier giving some information about the volume. From the library of Jean René de Brehand, count of Mauron, counsellor at the Parliament of Brittany, at the castle of Mauron, with ex-libris label stuck to the first back cover.
