EINSTEIN Albert (1879-1955)

L.A.S. "Ba.", [Frankfurt 28.X.1911], to Mileva EINSTEIN in Prague- Smichov; 1 1/2 pages of illustrated postcard (Wandgemälde im Frankfurter Ratskeller von Jos. Correggio) with address and stamp; in German. Tender card to his wife Mileva, "Liebes Weiberl". He traveled with the elderly man, with whom he spent most of the night in interesting conversation. He is a South German doctor. At 1 o'clock in the morning he discovered with great emotion and an intimate outburst of tenderness and immediately devoured the ham and apples ("Um 1 Uhre Nachts habe ich mit grosser Rührung und inniger Anwandlungvon Zäzrtlichkeit den Schinken entdeckt und sofort versclungen. Die Apfel haben auch unendlich gut gethan in dem furchterlichen Schwitzkasten"). Young O [Eugen Oppenheimer] was waiting for him and drove him to the hotel; he leaves the next day for Brussels [for the Solvay Congress]. He embraced Mileva and their son "die Görücher"...
