SKYPHOS APULO DATE: 370-340 a. C. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish figulina clay; shiny black paint, modelled by fast lathe. Fragmentary skyphos with slightly enlarged rim, truncated cone bowl, ring foot, stick handles DECORATION: entirely painted in black except for the support surface of the foot and the outer bottom of the tub; a satirical male face is preserved, depicting an old bald man facing right in the act of making the bad language. PRODUCTION: Apulian pottery to red figures, Painter of Felton. STATE OF CONSERVATION: it is preserved about the half.
