Description

FIVE BLACK GLAZED VASES DATE: end of IV sec. a. C. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish figulina clay; black paint, modelled by fast lathe. A kylix on high trumpet foot with deep bowl and stick handles set on the bowl and twisted upwards; an oinochoe with trilobate mouth and ovoid body, ring foot, a small cup with truncated cone bowl, a single-handled cup with slightly everted lip; a small ointment jar with brim spout and truncated cone body PRODUCTION: Apulian black glazed pottery STATE OF CONSERVATION: 4 intact, one damaged, encrusted, slight chipping DIMENSIONS: h. from cm 12 to cm 4 ORIGIN: private collection, Lecce, Italy.
