ANTEFIX TARANTINE DATE: IV sec. a.. C. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish purified clay, suede mottling, molded with retouches to sticks Arched antefix with the bust of Pan, clearly identifiable by the horns and pointed ears with thick hair that falls on the neck, the face is carefully outlined with large eyes with indications of eyebrows, eyelids and pupil, cheekbones well raised, wide nose and mouth half open. PRODUCTION: Apulian ceramics, Taranto STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, encrusted, slight chipping, without the cap DIMENSIONS: h. cm 19; w. cm 18 ORIGIN: private collection, Lecce, Italy.
