ANTEFIX TARANTINE DATE: IV sec. a.. C. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish purified clay, chamois glaze, molded with retouches in sticks. Arched antefix with female bust facing left with thick wavy hair that falls on the neck, the young woman is wearing earrings truncated cone reversed and wears a necklace, the face is carefully outlined with large eyes with indications of eyebrows, eyelids and pupil PRODUCTION: Apulian pottery, Taranto STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, encrusted, slight gap in the lower left, without the cap DIMENSIONS: h. cm 18,5; w. cm 18 ORIGIN: Private collection, Lecce, Italy.
