FOUR OIL LAMPS DATE: I-VI century AD. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: hazelnut and reddish purified clay, red and brown paint; moulded. Bilicne oil-lamp with elongated body with two opposing open channel spouts and disc with two off-center feeding holes; small annular handle set in the center of the disc; African oil-lamp with shoulder distinct from disc decorated with frame of circles and hearts; disc tending to oval with two feeding holes and frontal male figure standing with hands at hips and short tunic (Vulcan with hammer and pincers?); full handle protruding from the body; skylight with side sockets with flat, narrow shoulder; concave disk bordered by a groove and decorated with a triton(?) and two dolphins on the sides of an ara; two ムムbowヤ sockets on the sides; small skylight of ムムopen shapeヤ with lid (4) PRODUCTION: Roman pottery STATE OF CONSERVATION: three intact, one reassembled and missing the handle and part of the spout DIMENSIONS: lenght from cm 6,5 to cm 14,7 ORIGIN: Turin private collection The lot, according to Italian law, is not exportable / This lot, according to Italian law, can not be exported
