TWO COLLARS DATE: Late Epoch, XXV-XXXI (712- 332 B.C.) and Roman. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: Egyptian faience blue and green, molded; carved glass paste Two necklaces strung on modern wire and consisting of small tubes of different colors, one with two amulets (an eye- udjat, a sow), a fragment of an eye- udjat larger, a round convex pearl and a round plate; the other with six pendants: a round plate bearing on one side the image of the head of Bes and on the other side that of the eye- udjat; a round convex bead; an amulet of not very recognizable shape, which could be a double eye- udjat; another round plate with an imprinted image not recognizable; an amulet depicting the head of the god Bes; a fragmentary amulet depicting a lion lying on a bed decorated with eyes- udjat, and a quadrangular green feldspar bead(3) PRODUCTION: Egyptian culture STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact DIMENSIONS: length cm 56 and cm 53 ORIGIN: private collection in Turin
