FOUR BANG CHIANG VASES DATE: 600-300 BC. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown purified clay, white mottling, red paint, molded by slow lathe. A large vase with flared rim, long cylindrical neck, truncated cone body, convex bottom; vase on wide trumpet foot with hemispherical body; olla with everted rim, cylindrical neck, bitroncoconical body, cylindrical stem foot; large bowl with flared rim and hemispherical body, convex bottom DECORATION: two decorated with stylized geometric or phytomorphic motifs, two with geometric engravings. PRODUCTION: Thai pottery, Bang Chiang culture. STATE OF CONSERVATION: two intact, one with missing foot, one recomposed.
