MALE HEAD IN CAMEO Eastern Mediterranean, 3rd century B.C. In garnet, the head carved in a frontal way. The flat reverse is polished. The face is characterized by a rounded oval, the cheeks full in contrast with the hollowed temples. The nose is prominent, the mouth is open. The very low forehead is surmounted by a striated headdress. The ears are open. H. 24 mm. Restorations An eastern mediterranean garnet male head pendant. In garnet, the head sculpted in frontface.
