OUSHABTI OF PSAMETIK, SON OF SEBAREKHY Egypt, Saite period, XXVIth dynasty, reign of Amasis (570-526 B.C.) Siliceous earthenware with turquoise glaze H. 17.5 cm Provenance Former collection of Christian Rolle, agricultural engineer, specialist in irrigation in Egypt in the 1940s French private collection Mummiform figure. He is wearing a striped tripartite wig and a striped false beard. His arms are crossed and his hands are holding farming tools. The body is inscribed with nine registers of hieroglyphs evoking Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead. Very beautiful conservation. A saite turquoise faience glazed ushabti of Psametik son of Sebarekhy. Figured mummiform. He wears a striated tripartite wig and wears a false beard.The arms crossed, the hands holding hoes.The body is inscribed with 9 registers of hieroglyphics evoking Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead.
