Ligabue, Venice, Italy; 1970s Private collection, acquired on the French art market in 2012. A late roman gold pendant with cross motif on the reverse and set with a two-layered agate cameo. Dancing Maenad. Suspension hoop later. Ca. 3rd - 4th century A.D.
