FUNERARY ORNAMENT Egypt, Ptolemaic period, 332-30 BC Consisting of a scarab beetle and its blue frit wings. Drilled for attachment to the mummy's earthenware net robe. Beetle height 5.5 cm, wing length 6 cm An Egyptian ptolemaic faience funerary parure. With a scarab and wings. Both pierced to be fixed by a wire on the pectoral of the deceased. Ca. 332-30 B.C.
