A BASTAR BRONZE OF A GODDES WITH A KHAPPAR AND SCEPTRE India, 19th-20th century. This goddess is standing up straight on a flat square shaped base. The robe of the goddess is beautifully decorated with fine detail such as linear patterns along its legs and arms. The goddess is also wearing a crown and the rob is blessed with further decorations such as a necklace and belt. The goddess is equipped with a khappar (vessel) and a sceptre. Condition: Overall in good condition a part from the apron missing, which seems to have broken off. Provenance: Collection of an Indian gentleman. Dimensions: Height 18.5 cm
