NOJIRO UNSEN: A FINE SCROLL PAINTING OF A WILD BOAR By Nojiro Unsen, signed Unsen with seals Nojiro no in and Unsen Japan, late 19th to early 20th century Finely painted in ink and watercolors and mounted as a hanging scroll, depicting a wild boar (inoshishi) jumping amongst grasses, a pine tree visible in the distance. Signed UNSEN and with two red seals Nojiro no in [seal of Nojiro] and Unsen. With wood jiku (roller ends). SIZE (image) 46.5 cm x 128.5 and 61 x 195 cm (including mounting) Condition: The image in excellent condition with only very minor wear. The mounting with some wear and tear. Provenance: German private collection.
