A FINE SATSUMA EARTHENWARE VASE DEPICTING COURT LADIES AND A LANDSCAPE Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) The slender bulbous satsuma vase raises from a spreading foot to a short waisted neck with everted rim, depicting two scenes in polychrome gold, a landscape with temples and water on one side and court ladies in conversation on the other side. The underside is marked. HEIGHT 7.8 cm Condition: Good condition with some wear and minuscule losses to gilding. Provenance: German private collection.
