A FINE TRANSPARENT GREEN ‘PUMPKIN’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The body realistically shaped as a pumpkin with vertical grooves, rising from a flat circular base, with a matching stem-shaped purple glass stopper holding a miniature spoon. Condition: Very good condition with minor surface scratches and a firing flaw to the underside. Provenance: Hungarian private collection, according to the current owner acquired from a Swiss private collection in 1990. Weight: 47.2 g Dimensions: Height 7 cm incl. stopper
